Beauty products that make my (every) day

This is NOT a sponsored post. All opinions are my own and the products were bought by me or gifted from family and/or friends.

My favorite beauty products for every day

A few years ago I wouldn’t have thought of having favorite beauty products that I would use every day. When you’re young and have a flawless skin, you don’t think about keeping it that way, you just live. But sooner or later we all have the ‘start doing something NOW before it’s too late!’ epiphany.

And then, here we are, sharing secrets, tips and recipes to look somewhat decent when we stare at the mirror. These are my skin and hair care favorites of late.

As I approached the 30’s it became more and more difficult for me to leave the house without any makeup. I always wore a little makeup to work, but on weekends I preferred an ‘au naturel’ look . Until I realized that the dark circles under my eyes and the redness here and there were doing me no favors.

That’s when one of my sisters gives me this product and puts a smile in my face. It’s a cream, so the texture is not as thick as a base and it spreads super easy and quick, even when using your fingers. Plus, it has SPF so you don’t have to worry about the UV protection and the fact that the sun burns all the time. Besides all that, you get great coverage and it evens the color of your skin, so the dark circles and redness go away. Win-Win!

When I’m not wearing the CC Cream and at night after removing my make up before bed, I apply this lotion to my face and neck. I found it by chance in the organics’ store. I love it because with just a little product you can make sure your skin is well hydrated.

I’ve tried lots of hydrating and moisturizing creams and lotions, but this has proven to be the least oily so far. Not even when I get up in the morning after 8 hours with it in my skin. And as you just need to apply a little drop of product, the 30 ml tube goes a looong way.

This lotion is the lazy and/or forgetful girl’s salvation. That’s if you’re anything like me and usually forget to put on body lotion after a shower. It’s perfect for preventing dry and flaky skin during the colder months. And also for keeping your bronzed skin moisturized all summer long.

It’s not hard for me to remember to put body lotion anymore. Once you’ve lathered up and then rinsed your body, apply the lotion and rinse again. I usually put it on right after I’ve put conditioner to my hair, so the last rinse goes all the way from head to toe. The result is a soft, well nurtured skin that smells great.

This shampoo is another glorious discovery from the aisles of the organics’ store. In my family we all have thin hair, and not a lot of it either. So we’ve pretty much tried every hair strengthening and hair loss product out there. But I’ve stopped trying the moment I used this product.

We all know that aloe has a ton of different properties (some people even eat it!) so it’s not surprising that a shampoo with 60% of aloe goodness would give you strong, shiny and soft locks. Did I say strong? That’s right, as strong as it gets.

Added to my thin hair were a few lousy color jobs over the years. So as a result my hair looked and felt mistreated. This one is the other product -apart from the aloe shampoo- that saved my head.

It’s been a while since I started using hair masks instead of conditioners a couple times a week and this is the best. The desert date stops the vicious circle in which the hair falls out because it’s weak and brittle and so on. You will notice how it nourishes your hair from day one.

  • Bonus track: If you’re looking for super shiny hair, this Magnolia mask is AMAZING!

Anyway, these are beauty products that work for me, and not everybody may get the same results. But here they are if you’d like to try. Some might be more expensive than others, but they have great value for money. And they tend to last for a long time, so I consider them a good investment.

Now tell me, what beauty products are your favorite? Any recommendations?
